Friendly Captcha is a cybersecurity startup from Munich, Germany. We protect over 25 million websites and apps from spam and bots – fully automated in the background, without requiring users to solve annoying tasks. Our solution is accessible and privacy-friendly in compliance with GDPR/CCPA.
We were honored with the German Founders Award 2023 for our innovative technology.

Your mission

  • Feature Development: You work on new features and improvements for our bot protection platform
  • Backend Development: You support the development of APIs and services in Go or TypeScript
  • Data Analysis: You help analyze large data sets to identify bot patterns
  • Testing & Debugging: You write tests and assist with troubleshooting
  • Documentation: You create technical documentation for internal tools and processes
  • Code Reviews: You participate in code reviews and learn from experienced developers
  • Infrastructure: Optionally, you can work on Terraform, monitoring (OpenTelemetry), or databases (Postgres, Clickhouse, Redis)

Your profile

  • Studies: Computer Science, Business Informatics, or Cybersecurity
  • Communication: Excellent English written and verbal skills
  • Programming: Experience with at least one modern programming language (Go, TypeScript, Python, Java, Rust, C++, etc.)
  • Basics: Understanding of web technologies, APIs, and databases
  • Work Style: Self-organized, eager to learn, and problem-solving oriented
  • Nice-to-have: German language skills, experience with Go, TypeScript, SQL, Git, or Linux
  • Bonus: Interest in data science, bot detection, or IT security
